Whitehill  is a three-form entry purpose built infant school situated in a semi-rural position within Crowborough, East Sussex. The school was originally positioned on Whitehill Road in Crowborough hence the school's name but in April 1998 we moved to our new site on Luxford Road. At Whitehill we believe that children learn most effectively when they feel happy, secure and experience success. We have a committed team who work closely together to create a warm and friendly atmosphere where every individual is welcomed. Excellence starts with environment and we are privileged to have a beautiful school and wildlife area that enhances the learning potential of every individual. The school has a strong eco policy and we  hold the third eco flag displayed at the front entrance to the school. We are the only infant school in East Sussex to have achieved this. Whitehill Infant is the feeder school for Herne Junior School and we work very closely together ensuring that the children's transition from Year 2 to Year 3 is as seamless as possible. From September 2009 we federated with Herne and Tracy Robinson is Executive Headteacher of both schools.

We currently have 6 classes comprising of 2 Foundation Stage and 4 KS1 classes. All our classes are named after wildlife. Click here for more about our classes

We are very priveleged to have a large wildlfe area within the school grounds which has recently had the addition of an all weather pathway and pond. We have our very own badger sett and foxes living in the area. We think this is an excellent facility to improve and extend the learning opportunities of all our children and visitors to the school.

We offer a  Breakfast Club for our Whitehill Infant and Nursery Children from 8am every day. For more information click on the Breakfast Club logo or ask at the school office.

Our walking bus  has been running for over a year and has proved very successful thanks to our parent volunteeers. It leaves the Wolfe Recreation ground at 8.25am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. For more information please contact the school.

Whitehill Nursery School

		Recent additions to the school include solar panels,  a pavillion,  climbing wall, a trim trail and outdoor covered area for the playground.
		The pavillion provides shade and an outside classroom. Our outdoor covered curriculum area provides shade and cover for outdoor activities. Future projects include the installation of additional solar panels, a shade sail canopy for the nursery playground and a new kitchen in Foundation Stage.
